What is the difference between meloki and a public online AI (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot & Co.)?

Public AI services such as ChatGPT or Gemini work with general, freely available data. They do not know your company - and they are not allowed to process your sensitive information.

Is meloki GDPR compliant?

Yes.
meloki was specially developed for data protection-critical environments.
Since all data is processed exclusively in your infrastructure, meloki fully complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
No data flows to external servers or cloud services - everything stays with you.

Does meloki have user and group management?

Yes.
User and group management is provided via Open WebUI - meloki's central interface.
Here you can create users, assign roles and authorizations and precisely control access.

The meloki AdminPACK also takes over the central administration, i.e. the monitoring, backup management and update control of your meloki instances.

Can I also use meloki as a chatbot for my employees?

Absolutely.
meloki is perfect as an internal company chatbot that provides knowledge, answers questions and supports processes.
The integrated RAG system (Retrieval Augmented Generation) allows you to integrate your own company knowledge - such as manuals, guidelines or technical documentation.
This means your team has a smart, internal knowledge assistant at their side at all times.

Can I also install meloki on my own hardware or in a virtual environment?

No.
meloki is specially developed and optimized for Landitec hardware.
The close integration of software, hardware and GPU connection is crucial for stability, performance and support.
The meloki AdminPACK can only unfold its full functionality on tested Landitec appliances - including monitoring, backup management and update control.

Installation on third-party or standard hardware and in virtual environments is therefore not supported and is not intended.
SECUDOS thus ensures that every meloki installation runs reliably, securely and efficiently.

Can I connect my LDAP to meloki?

Yes.
meloki supports an LDAP connection via Open WebUI, so you can easily integrate your existing Active Directory or LDAP-based user system.
This allows you to manage the login centrally - users can log in with their usual access data, and roles or groups are automatically adopted.
This keeps your identity management consistent and secure, without you having to maintain users twice.

Can I connect existing systems to meloki?

Yes - and that's one of meloki's greatest strengths.
Thanks to the integrated n8n automation platform, you can connect existing systems, APIs and data sources with just a few clicks.
This allows you to link processes, data and applications directly with meloki - without any complicated programming.
